December 3, 2009: Update Report

December 3, 2009: Update Report

Daniel Chapter One was back in FTC court in Washington DC, December 3, 2009, this time for oral arguments pertaining to the appeal of the outrageous cease and desist order against us.  Jim Turner, representing Daniel Chapter One, was prepared to present all the issues of the case to show that Daniel Chapter One is protected by First Amendment Rights; most specifically, by Freedom of Religion since we are a ministry, and by Freedom of Speech since nothing we say has been found false.

But, preventing the core issues from being addressed, the FTC commissioners interrupted Mr. Turner’s oral presentation with petty questions intended to malign the ministry of Daniel Chapter One. The rude interruptions began almost immediately, and about 20 minutes into the distorted, mean slander from one woman commissioner, Jim Feijo stated out loud, “that’s not true!” (Reminiscent of Joe Wilson blurting out, “you lie!”, when President Obama did at that point.)

The commissioner’s speech contained threats that Respondent (Daniel Chapter One) will have to answer to a higher power one day – we can’t wait! – and contained ominous sentiment of a government medicine: only chemotherapy and radiation is approved for cancer, and anything else must be squelched. One of the lawyers for Daniel Chapter One whose wife was healed naturally of cancer (without chemo or radiation) sat quietly shaking his head. It is hard to know if the FTC is so utterly ignorant or just so evil as to not acknowledge that there are other effective methods used by people for centuries to support a body’s fight against cancer.

If it is ignorance, they want to revel in it because they blocked every single testimony of natural healing that Daniel Chapter One offered. Over 80 people who were willing to come to Washington DC, the maximum 10 people allowed by the FTC, and hundreds of radio sound bites and video clips were all totally blocked, referred to as “irrelevant.” The commissioner stated arrogantly that Daniel Chapter One is “irresponsible” in sharing truthful information that has saved thousands of people send home to die after chemo and radiation failed. Of course, she stopped at the word irresponsible, without a shred of evidence, and ignored the rest. The FTC has the audacity to call any successes “placebo effect”, and say that the public (you) cannot possibly know how to judge a product or its effectiveness for themselves.

So, Big Daddy Federal Trade Commission (Federal Tyranny and Corruption) is looking out for you by looking out for Big-Pharma, protecting against monopolies by protecting the biggest monopoly of all. Drugs continue to kill close to 200,000 people a year, as cover-ups and false reports by the Drug Manufacturers continue to surface. But that’s all right, because it is government approved medicine.

In the closing few minutes of Jim Turner’s oral argument, after the female commissioner finally finished her haughty spewing, Attorney Turner told her bluntly that the American people are becoming upset with the FTC interfering in their lives. Bravo! It was, at least, a true and good ending.

We now wait for the final judgment from the FTC. If they rule against us –which is pretty easy to predict – Daniel Chapter One will go forward to the Court of Appeals. The FTC cannot silence the truth. They cannot make us lie, or make us agree to their lies!
